Amy is one of the greats and had the look to break conventional beauty; I was really rooting for her. If what they portrayed in this documentary is 80% true-to-life, it’s angering. Say what you will about Britney Spears but when she lost her shit, her parents stepped in, fired all of the toxic people, and took over everything. All I heard here were people hoping that Amy would get better but nobody put their foot down and forced her to, which is what she desperately needed.

This is so frustrating to watch. I have experienced sleep paralysis a number of times, as well as friends and family, so I’d like to know why it happens. It's borderline annoying because it doesn’t interview any experts to talk about the scientific or medical aspects. If what we all experience is fairly similar then it’s most likely something in our makeup that can be dissected and studied. Nope, what you get here is a bunch of random civilians telling you their dark and bizarre experiences. That’s it. That’s all there is for the whole hour and a half. Waste of a documentary.

Depp does put on a good performance, especially with all of the supporting cast around him. Some of it feels a little gimmicky, and I couldn’t get past the fact that not only is Edgerton and Cumberbatch British, but they look very British. It was tough to shrug off their forced Boston accents.

As much source material as they had to work off of, there wasn’t enough intensity or intrigue. It is the definitive Whitey Bulger story but I don’t think it will go down as a classic.

Nobody forgot about Dre okay? He really wants you to know it. If I had to pick a main character here, it would be Dr. Dre. Eazy-E is clearly the standout performance but Dre gets the most camera time, then Ice Cube, and even at the end, he wants to remind us how much he’s done for other artists and the business. Let’s not forget it’s produced by Dre and Cube also. If this movie was not good, this subject would be all the talk amongst reviews. It’s good – raw without trying too hard, nostalgic because it’s accurate, and head-slamming fun because nothing felt out of place.

When they were talking about getting a “hyper blaster” gun in Silent Hill, I was like “whaaaaa…” that’s not right. There’s no Sci-fi space gun in a survival horror game. That’s dumb. Then I looked it up online because I wanted to confirm how dumb it was, and it exists. I was all “nooooo…”, I got schooled by this movie. This movie is dumb.
