I liked the story and the beautiful spectacle of Oz. James Franco is hard to hate-on but I wanted to punch all of his teeth every time he showed them. The build-up to the plot’s main villain was a let-down. A lot of the annoyances has to be blamed on Sam Raimi. Pushing all the negativity aside, I did enjoy the film.

This film is big but the action is not as over-the-top as your usual Bond movies. There is still a lot of great action, just don’t expect missile-firing cars doing barrel rolls off of ramps. In this case, that is a good thing. Sam Mendes nails it with a deeper 007 backstory while maintaining the intensity that would you expect.

The best thing about the original was its charmingly ridiculous style. Looks like the producers didn’t care for that and wanted a more serious and sexier reboot. Does it work? Nope. All of the cringing moments come from the dialogue and there's a whole lotta talking. If you haven't heard by now how much fun this movie is or how it broke the $1 billion mark in its second week, it's all true and it delivers on the hype. Superhero movies have been great because directors and writers are able to instill drama into them that is believably human.

Joss Whedon does it on grand scale with multiple egos, and yet, every character is given ample screen time to voice their cause and resistance. Yearly 'top 10' films are usually reserved for hard-hitting dramas with highly emotional performances but I think The Avengers deserves a spot.

The graphics production is not that grand compared to other Pixar movies and the story is not as clever or touching but it is enjoyable. It's also a bit more serious than what you would expect from these types of animated films.

Remember the trading cards? They were so cool when we were kids, who would of thought it would actually be made into a movie. Whoever thought of that idea is an idiot.

If you liked Kick-Ass then you will love this.

I had a blast with this. There was a ton of video game references and funny lines. Although the story is incredibly linear, I find it nice for a change. No twisted plots and no surprises – just a dude trying to win a girl's heart.

Over-the-top action that borderlines ridiculous and mostly done with CGI. It's decent, brainless fun if you're in the mood for explosions and guns with a redundant plot.

Fans have been complaining about the franchise after the first Predator movie and then came the crap storm that was the Aliens vs. Predators movies. I thought this was balanced between action and suspense while giving the fans what they've been asking for; a Predator movie that doesn't suck, horribly.
