A beautiful (but quiet) documentary about how food is processed all around the world. The thing I like about this one is that it's not some cinematic protest against mass food production. It just shows you how it's done. Actually, that sounds really boring now that I just said it out loud.

This documentary takes you to the start of how movies are made. It starts with a script by the screenwriters and this is their story of triumphs and frustrations (mostly frustrations). Very insightful and well-done.

There are so many things happening in this documentary, from S&M sex to cloning puppies. The story is outrageous but what makes it more so is how the media got involved in this. What I like most is that you're not sure who to trust at the end of it all.

Another documentary on the electronic music subculture. I find the narrator a bit annoying and giving us too much unnecessary information about her personal life. The interesting side of this documentary is that it really focuses on the music and the talents behind it.

Snuff: A Documentary About Killing on Camera

Even after this documentary was made, there still isn't proof that snuff movies exist except for one man's sworn testimony in the film (not that I want them to exist but that's the whole point of this documentary). It was an ok documentary, I think it was trying more for shock value rather then presenting proper information. I do not recommend this unless you're that morbidly curious.

Small Town Gay Bar

I wanted to check this out after Kevin Smith mentioned it in his Red State commentary. This can be sad but it's mostly uplifting. You'll get an in-depth look at how it is to be gay in an anti-gay environment like America's South.

Side by Side

I respect traditional film but there are too many financial and production benefits to digital. All of the A-list directors that side with tape, have a nostalgic romance with it but they can also appreciate digital. Times are changing and those going against the grain will need to pay out of pocket to keep tradition going.

The next method of filming (I have no idea what) that can put digital out of business will then have the right to call digital “traditional” as well. It doesn’t matter what we/they consider traditional or even natural. It’s just pure progression and that, in itself, is the most natural thing.

An inside look at the magazine that dictates what's in and what's out for fashion. At the helm of it all is Anna Wintour, the tyrannical editor-in-chief of Vogue.

This documentary makes me wonder if Anna, sometimes, rejects things without reasonable cause just to uphold her status as an ice-cold queen.

There are some incredibly, fascinating theories here, which is mind-blowing. However, there are some others that are just flat-out dumb, and probably made-up because of bias delusion – seeing what we want to see once we’re convinced that this is the message Kubrick is trying to tell us. It’s a great documentary but one that should be taken with a grain of salt.

The invested money went to saunas inside the office, orgy parties, strip club tabs; you get the idea.

Revenge of the Electric Car

There's not a lot of controversy in this sequel because it seems like there's not much left to uncover. Instead of hard-hitting journalism, the film acts as a cheerleader for this new tech. I'm happy that cars are going green but it did not need this sequel to tell us that.

The People vs. George Lucas

I'm not a Star Wars fanatic but episodes 4, 5, 6 are damn great movies and I was excited to see 1, 2, and 3. Like everyone else, I hated them so I'm curious to see what his hardcore fans think. This documentary showed me.

George enjoys throwing fresh shit at his fan's faces and his fans keep taking it because the turds are being disguised with bonus/exclusive content but in the end, it's still a turd.

Party Monster: The Shockumentary

His family is against this film, other rich people don't like it, and it doesn't help the lower/middle class. Stop trying to be like us average Americans and just go lounge by your champagne-filled swimming pool.

Just be prepared for this guy to tell you how to live a sustainable life by making laptops out of cardboard. Fucking, please. Murder on a Sunday Morning

One the very best documentaries I have seen. In this film, you will see a real-life plot of murder and frame. It's a touching story about an honest-to-god, real American hero. Forget all of those "based on a true story" movies, this is the real thing and the plot is as Hollywood as it gets.
