There were a few parts that made me laugh out loud and I don’t mean that in a good way. The developing relationships seemed rushed but have to be forgiving to that because there are so many characters. The most important relationship between Professor X and Magfassbender was the highlight of it all. This new reboot definitely outdoes the older ones.

Sidenote: Whoever decided to have the Nazi coin turn into the X-Men badge is a dumbhead.

Every time I see Patrick Fugit, I start yawning, even if I have to don’t have to yawn. Just to let the person in charge of movie night know. After I managed to phase out Fugit, I found a whimsical movie on a dark subject matter that was enjoyable.

I think the psychotic son is a little bit over-the-top but that would be the only small complaint. This is a good film with a very uncomfortable subject matter that deserves your attention.

There isn't anything amazing about this script and there doesn't need to be. You become attached to all the characters as they work together to beat the odds, kind of like Alive. This is one of those films that I admire but hope to never see again.

The way events unfolded were believable and all the characters did a good job to construct that. It was captivating, then all of sudden, things go out of control for no solid reason. This happens overnight, literally. At that point, you might stop trusting the movie but it is good enough to continue watching until the end.

I don’t mind sappy movies that tug at the heart strings but this one yanks the hell out of them and drags you through a field of bullshit for two and a half hours. The only thing this movie does is give cinematographer’s an erection. Once I saw past all the manipulative tripe, I can sincerely say that I hate this movie.

Some characters spend very little time with Joey the horse, while others don’t even come near him and yet they’re willing to risk their lives for him. All Joey does is run around and occasionally freak out. He never saved anyone’s life nor has he done anything miraculous. Yet, wherever he goes, people illogically make a path for him like he’s a trotting god. It’s not Joey’s fault, I’m baffled as to why all these hungry, tired, and scared people living and fighting in WWI could go out of their way to help a horse for no reason at all.

Almost everyone here is either committing a moral crime or keeping some dark secret. I was bothered throughout the whole film and by the end, I completely stopped caring.
