I had to pause it once or twice and take a break because I'm a warm-blooded male. I got nothing against gays but some of the scenes were too much. Anyways, after you get over the hill of rough, cowboy, man-sex, you'll find an amazing movie. This was a very sad flick and it made a lot of heads turn (and turn away) when it was released. An excellent movie by the diversely talented, Ang Lee.

Sukiyaki Western Django

Everyone knew this movie was going to be somewhat silly and over-the-top but what I was treated to was pure crap. Quentin Tarantino should never, ever, do a Western accent, ever again. I got goosebumps every time he spoke.

The action was fun but it was so out-there that there was no ounce of believability, which made it seem like a joke. The only thing I really liked were the costumes – it was a mix between Samurais and Cowboys.

I've always liked Ed Harris and this movie makes me like him even more. This Western is also directed by him. It's different from your other gun-slinging films. Appaloosa is slower-paced but still keeps the excitement going at the right time. Highly recommended if you're in the mood to watch a more dramatic cowboy film.

Who is this little Hailee Steinfeld girl? She plays a stubborn and sharp-tongued teenager who is seeking revenge for her father's death by hiring a tough (but drunk) U.S. Marshal to track down the killer.

2010 was a good year for movies and True Grit is one of those titles to backup that statement.

John Malkovich plays John Malkovich (again). Megan Fox plays a whore, which she surprisingly fails at. This is a crappy mish-mash of fantasy and Western with a bunch of edgy guitar rifts. Poop everywhere in this film.

The Book of Eli

I like the concept for this film. I love the wasteland setting. About halfway through, the admiration starts to wear off and when the end comes, I lose all interests.

This movie had great potential but falls apart (big time) with the ending.

Django Unchained

A bloody and fun ride but am I alone in thinking that there seemed to be too much unnecessary dialogue towards the end? I love this movie but I couldn’t help compare it to Inglourious Basterds. The escalation of that movie consistently went up but this one leveled out for a long time. No matter, it’s still crazy-good!

PS: Christoph Waltz always talks like he’s about to show you a magic trick.
