With all the billionaire downfall movies as of late, this is definitely the best one in the last two years. A billionaire does his usual billionaire bad habits like making greedy deals and cheating on his wife. After an accidental death with his mistress, things fall apart quickly as he tries to keep things together. The ending is not what you would expect but the satisfaction is there, make sure to look out for it.

There are no explosions and no gunfights but this is one of the most suspenseful movies I have seen. It puts you in the thick of it and you’re never certain if they will make it out. One of the best movies of 2012.

The Avengers

If you haven't heard by now how much fun this movie is or how it broke the $1 billion mark in its second week, it's all true and it delivers on the hype. Superhero movies have been great because directors and writers are able to instill drama into them that is believably human.

Joss Whedon does it on grand scale with multiple egos, and yet, every character is given ample screen time to voice their cause and resistance. Yearly 'top 10' films are usually reserved for hard-hitting dramas with highly emotional performances but I think The Avengers deserves a spot.

Roland Emmerich's obsession with movies that ruin the past and the future is starting to make me think he's some type of man-child. Any chance he gets to lie to us or blow us up, he's all over it. This film favors form over function. Its overly poetic scenes hope to distract you from the loose storyline. It's not hard to follow, I just wish it was smarter because an original concept like this deserves to be.

This is a great idea but it was fleshed-out terribly. There are way too many loopholes and impossibilities. Movies are allowed to get away with a few but when it has as many as After Life, things just stop working and fall apart.

The movie never touches on the origins of George Clooney's hitman character. It's all about how hard it is for him to trust anyone. The pacing is slow but oh my goodness, Violante Placido's amazing body will consistently renew your attention. She is naked in most of her scenes.

The movie isn't horrible and I thought all the characters did a good job but I think the story of a womanizer who doesn't think about his consequences is old. I was doing laundry and cleaning halfway through this movie, yet, I could still predict what was going to happen next.

Imagine Mike Tyson's Punch-out and The Fifth Element had a baby. Arena is that baby.

Surprisingly, the film's bad acting and all around cheesiness is not the cringe factor here. It's all the extra actors in the background. If you missed it the first time and hate yourself enough to watch this again, pay attention to the crowd.

Jake Sully got into the tribe way too easily. All the Na'vi aliens knew that Jake was in an artificial body and yet they still taught him how to hunt and ride. They didn't even haze him or make him take shots – nothing!

It is over exploitative with gory scenes that carry no real weight and are only there just to shock you. And it is really gross. For the average movie-goer, I say to stay far away from this. You'll be sorry if you don't.

The true story of this is very hard to stomach. I suggest you don't look it up if you can't handle things like child torture. The most bizarre thing about this story is how the neighborhood kids were involved in the abuse of young Sylvia Likens (Ellen Page). The movie is heart-wrenching but I liked what they did for the ending. It gave Sylvia back a little justice.
